The first yacht berth in Latvia to meet international standards is opened in Pāvilosta
The newly built yacht berth "Pavilosta Marina" will be opened on 20 May. This is the first yacht berth in Latvia to meet international standards.
Pāvilosta is situated on the coast of the Baltic Sea between the cities of Liepāja and Ventspils, attracting visitors and nature lovers to its untouched natural environment.
The opening of "Pavilosta Marina" is a significant step for Latvia in joining the network of international yacht ports and attracting yachtsmen from other Baltic Sea States.
"Pāvilosta Marina" will have room for 30 yachts this summer, but future expansion will allow for 200 yachts to be accommodated and the yacht berthing will be handled by professionals. All services required by yachtsmen will be available, such as shower facilities, internet access, fuel, slip, a workshop, hotel accommodation etc. This summer, visitors to "Pavilosta Marina" will be able to watch or participate in regattas, relax at the camping site, play beach volleyball, go fishing or diving, enjoy good food and spend time at the beach.
The introduction of a fuelling station at "Pavilosta Marina" is of great importance for the environment in Pāvilosta and one of the preconditions for being awarded a Blue Flag.
